What's the best tool to open the track windows to full clip a track? Send in in to get punched out or use a knife??

knife or sharp chisel over a 2x. track window sizes vary from track to track, so a straight up punch is difficult to locate. i use two different size chisels, as the holes are usually more rectangular than square.

Same thing I did - I think you need an 1" chisel and a 1.5" chisel for a 2.52 pitch track if I remember right.

I just used a utility knife...with quite a few blades. Tried building a punch out of sharpened square tubing but it didn't work...

cutting holes

I used a 1 1/4 in. hole saw. works good and is fast to do.
