if the roller bearing goes bad even though it doesnt slop or spin can it make the chain jump around and hit the side case making it wear the lip of the case down? Bought the sled used took the gear box apart to put a new track on it noticed that the roller bearing was seized thought I got unseized (my fingers were oily) put it back together all tightened put gear box back together took for rip around yard came back checked gear box noticed metal shards on dip stick. Took gear box back apart and noticed a little bit of scarring on outer cover so took it apart and saw that the roller bearing was completely seized but was slopping around but would that make the chain still be able to scar the side case?
