track tension question

I just recently put on a cobra 1.325" track onto my 2002 edge xc. I believe that the factor setting is for a 1/2" hang on the track. Does that mean that it hangs 1/2" if you pull the track off the ground, or that when you put some weight on the track, you can pull it off the slides by 1/2"? I just wanted to get some opinions on how much tension I should have on the track?

It means that when the rear is suspended in the air, there will be 1/2" gap between the track and hifax. I do believe that it may also say with 10lbs of weight on the track 16" forward of the axle bolt. I just set mine to 1/2" with no weight.

1/2", 16" forward of the rear axle shaft with 10lbs of force. Or in my case, pull down on the track with two fingers lightly... Works for me.
