track shaft bearings on m7

one of the two bearings on the brake side of my track shaft feels a little ruff. got 2 new bearings and went to put them in last night. couldnt get them out with a press??? is there some sort of trick? do they use that damn green loctite on these like the motor mounts? anybody have some input?

Now that you mention it, I'm curious as well. I saw them when I changed my track and remember saying to my self, "those got to be a p.i.t.a. to change." Anybody?

The inner bearing has a snap-ring holding it in. The spacer between the two bearings must be shifted and the bearing to the outside taped out with a large flat head screw driver. Then the spacer should fall out and expose the snap ring, once the snap-ring is removed you can press the inside bearing out.

Would you get the numbers off the old bearings? I will want to replace mine also and would rather get a better quality bearing from a bearing house instead.

Thanks
Robert
