track rubbing and engine bog?

i have an 05' rev 144...my rails were trashed so i bought a set used and was told they were for a 144, got them put on and they were too long, so i cut them down on the end to clear the drivers...to do so i had to move the holes back for the rod that holds the limiter straps on the bottom, all that was changed. Since then, when i get in deep snow it feels like the track rubs on the tunnel, and the sleds almost helpless in powder...my rpms stay up, but lose ALOT of speed and feels just like i'm dragging my a** end...any ideas?

Sounds like the motor is trying to fight the rear suspension geometry. If the angles are off you might be tossing more snow into the tunnel area and choking the track. Basically it can't clear the snow out of the tunnel fast enough.

Can you see any wear marks? and if you moved the entire skidd back it seems like there would be more room for snow to exit the tunnel. and make sure you move the front and back mounts the same amount. pry a dumb thought but did you make sure the track isnt too tight?
