track question?

i was talking to a guy who has a rev and he was saying that his 144 track will have the same flotation and advantages as a 155 15" wide track... is this true? does that extra 1" wide make that big of a difference?

144"X16"= 2308square inches
155"X15"=2325square inches.

extremely close as you can see. so does it really work this way? do the 16" tracks have that big advantage when in the powder?

X2...A 144 x 16 will not climb with a 155 x 15. No way not happening

Maybe on a flat field that logic might work. It will not have the same advantages. Yours will be easier to lay over and get through the trees or wherever you're trying to get to .
