Track Qestion

YES!!! you will need to grind some rivits and turn some bolts around but yes...If you search in zx fourm this has been brought up before...i am going to do it on my zx next month.....good luck and i am sure others will chime in and give .02 also!!

I did this to mine last summer, was very easy and probably the best thing I have done to the sled so far. I ran with it all year and never had a single problem. Have any questions along the way I will be glad to help.

On my 01 zx.
I put a 16*2.25 off a rev . Drivers were already on shaft from rev and went right in no prob. I believe the widths from driver to driver are the same.

1) 2 screws need to be turned around. 1 in each football, nut out.
2) drop brackets need to be notched were the track slides by. You'll see. Rev are flat on the inside.
3) you can grind down chain case bolt heads. I put rev chaincase bolts. 1/16 tall head.
I would replace hyfax at same time. The drop bracket bolts go into a tube that goes across. Break one loose of lock tight and retighten. Then break other one loose. Impact is easier. If that don't work take one out and put a nut on it and put it back in half way and use nut to work as a jam nut. It might have to clearance itself a little at first if the track isn't tight enough. It's tight but it works. Rails ,rear axle is fine the way it is..02

Yup 2 rivets on top up front. Or use a razor and put 2 small Vs in the lugs. Takes 10 min. Looks like challenger lug pattern anyway.

Thanks for the info guys. im trying to find new track for my sled and am looking for a 15 at first, but someone offered me a 16 and they said they had heard on here that it would fit. Just thought i had better check first.

Just thought i had better check first. What would be the advantages of having the 16 in over the 15. one im sure is flotation, anything else?
