If you where going to get any track for your turbo what would you get?

3"?
2.5 peak?
2.6 powerclaw?

All staying in that 153-156" length... thoughts? Ride the Colorado fluff all year long, almost all trees... just kicking the idea.

Right now leaning towards the 156 3" cut down... with 7 tooth driver.

track

If your not climbing i would go with the 2.6 powderclaw, might be less wash out on the side hill

I've always had success with the 2.5" extreme. Great all around track. I run the 9175 as it's the 162" but I think the 153 track number is 9174, if that's what you're after.

your spending the money anyway - I would go 3" for sure

bigger is where it's at, guys who are running the 3" tracks are saying they can go at 6 lbs where they used to run 9 or 10lbs. that there is awesome. I was looking to buy a taller paddle track also, but instead decided to buy a Kmod. figured that variable was a better solution.

just got my 150 camo extreme in for my 09 twisted M8! Cant wait to test it out with my new cold air intake!

2.5 lug with a 150 track, 7psi@1750ft, GeoMod Skid mod, front arm dropped to next hole... Limiters full out...75 psi on rear float...should be fun!

3 Inch no question!! Put one on my M8 turbo, Getting rid of the powder claw on the M1000 and going with the new 3 inch on it and will probably put the 156 version of the 3 inch on the girlfriends M7 they just keep climbing.

On my turbo I climb to the same point on 3-4 lbs less boost....

I just installed the 156X3 in a mod doo, Track is huge.reports are a stock sled with 3 inch will climb right with a pump gas turbo, trued and tried

After much debate back and forth with many sources, decided that it wasn't worth the 400$ extra to get the 3" and went with the 2.6 PC. (400$ buys a lot of race fuel and the PC is a bit more all around then the 3") The idea of cutting made me a bit leery as well. The 2.6 is literally bolt and go!

I will report back the findings/outcomes and let ya'll know how it plays out. With the skid and track and a little boost, should be a GREAT season. Thanks for the help guys.

3'' is where its at, except in wet or really set up snow, to much grab then. Why turn your boost down when getting this track? keep it @10+lbs and hang on! Whats another $400 for a kick azz track when you all ready spent at least 5G on a kit?

One of the Camoplast extreme variations is a safe bet. 2.5 or 3". Work well in all conditions. You will have brakes (a new concept for a Cat rider) and the have been durable.

This is just my input. I have couple hours of seat time on M sleds and i did not like the PC track on any of them. I felt the PC spins too much.
None were HCR sleds so that PC track maybe better but standard PC track spins a lot.
Remember, the more you through, the higher you go.

you know I've got nothing but time on m series with PC tracks and I've really enjoyed it. Only reason I'm changing is I would like to see the difference with a larger paddle track. The PC does a nice job in our light snow here in Colorado IMO. I have found that it does spin, but at times that is too our advantage here. The PC does a quality job of getting the sled back up on the snow, with a properly set-up skid. I also like the ability of the track in all conditions. Especially with a base underneath that the "fingers' can get down to and grab.

I am excited to see how the larger paddles, almost the in-between size, work at throwing the snow. If the name of the game is throwing more snow, the PC does an excellent job in doing that and I think the spinning is an advantage for our turbo'd sleds which are spinning tracks at tremendous speeds. Also the stiffer design of the larger paddles I think will provide support to prevent the folding that we've seen on PC's in the past. It is all a crap shoot honestly, I do NOT do any large climbs and the stopping of the PC downhill is the worst part of the track for sure.

It turned out being a 500$ difference between the PC and the 3". I'll give the 2.6 a try and then go from there. If it doesn't work how I planned I'll change it again next year and keep going from there! Love the input, thanks guy.
