Track length on Nytro Turbo.

I always see people running the 162 on the the Nytros with boost. What about running a 154 is that too much motor for the track or do people just prefer the 162? Im coming from a RT1000 with the 162 but i think the 154 would be that much more fun to ride BUT i do like having that 162 at times.
 
personally i'd like a 156 x 2.5 on mine.

with the added power, which equates to weight xfer, the longer track helps lower ski lift..

basically, the steeper the hills/chutes, the longer the track...

if your not huge into climbing gnarly stuff, i bet 156 would / will work great.

i hope to get some time on a guys 156x16x2.5 MCX nytro to see how it compares to a buddies 162x15x2.5 MCX nytro. and my own 162x16x2.4 impulse nytro.

i think the shorter 156 would be a blast w/ all the power to "SPIN" it. :) as long as it isn't an obnoxious skili machine..

IMO 153" stock Nytro track is ok on a stocker.
But when you add boost I'd consider 162" the minimum that will get 'er done.

P.S. the extra power from boost let's you power a 162" around like it's a 144"
 
depends on riding style

The track length depends on what u are going to be doing with the sled. If ALL u do is climb chutes and steep azz hills, then yea go as long as u can. If a person is not into the chute climbs then why waste the energy of throwing a school bus around all day. I still have a 153 under my tnytro and would not have it anyother way. Some people will not agree. I dont like throwing a 162 or longer track around all day. And the longer u go the more carefull u have to be about bending rails when jumping. If u are asking yourself what track length u should get, stop and think how u are going to ride the sled. What u like to do and how that length will benefit u or hurt u.:D

Ive seen some 153's GETNERDUN !!!!!! Its not about powering a 162 , its about turning the long SOB around in a split second when u finally decide "I SHOULDNT BE HERE".
 
It's not so much the length of the track but the suspension. The Nytro suspension just cannot take the added power without becoming a wheelie machine.

If you had a rear suspension that would take the power it would probably be fine in most cases at "154.
 
its not the fact of the 162 being TOO long. Trust me ive been told that over and over with my 162 now. But im starting to get older and break easier so the bigger chutes are not becomin as important as just breaking out into the open meadows with lots of fluff. Dont get me wrong the big hills still tempt me but im thinkin i can still do it with the 153. In cases ive seen the 162 helps but its not a MUST. my main question was if you just spun the track to fast with the 153 and boost. Honestly i think the perfect track right now is the 154x16x2.5
 
When you are riding on 1 square foot of track every where you go they are all the same! Really, I have found the 162 to work the best 174 seems way too long and 153 seems way short. I have not run a 156 and this may be a viable option for middle ground.:beer;
