Track Fitment?

Will this track fit on an 04 900 Mountain Cat, originally a 159" track? I also have HRP drop brackets installed. Looks like I have enough adjustment to take up the slack for a 162". Will it rub? Thanks.

You'll need to change to 3" pitch drivers, but yes it will fit.

honestly, I haven't seen any big issues with the stock ones. '05+ King Cat drivers.

I went 162 from 159 rails on both of my 900s. I even changed my king cat rails from 162 to 159. I think i helps handling a bit. There is not enough adjustment with out going to bigger wheels. I am running 9 inch wheels on a mountain machines axle. Works GREAT and look sharp too.

One more question, what size is the shaft for the drivers? I see there are a couple different sizes and you need to specify when ordering them. Or do I not have to worry about it if I go with the stock drivers Idcatman3 listed above?

Could my 04 MC have a 1 1/16"? According to this link it looks like they possibly came with two different size shafts? Maybe I'm reading it wrong.

As far as I can see, all '04 900s came with the 1¼" shaft. You may want to check yours just to be sure.

03.5 came with 1.25" shaft, early 03 and below with the 1 1/16 shaft. Should all be 1.25" shafts for the later models, Unless the 800's were smaller? But I doubt it.

My parts lookup says the '04 800 is a 1¼" shaft also. The others are smaller.

Talked to a dealer tonight, mine should be a 1 1/4" shaft. I think I can go with a Wahl Bros combo driver for $120.00 total for two. If I went with the KK drivers it would be about $200.00 for the inner/outer drivers. The combo driver takes the place of the two stock drivers correct?

I need the 1.250 8 tooth correct? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get dialed in before making a trip to where the snow is Really appreciate all the help. Those combo drivers should work pretty well. You have (I believe) two less sets of lugs driving than with the stock setup, but it should be ok.

Ok, got all the parts. Having the Avid Drivers pressed onto the driveshaft. One question, do I need an anti-stab kit with this setup? Thanks.

I have a good used track the same as what you are looking at. It is from an 08 M1000 and has about 1000 miles on it, no missing lugs, no holes. I could save you some money if you haven't already bought the new one. $400 shipped to you?

Also an anti stab kit wouldn't hurt, but I don't think it would be a necessity.

With extroverts, you will either need to move the skid back, or cut down the front of the rails (possibly just the shorter caps). If you don't, pretty sure they will hit the drivers.
