Track breaking tool

While looking through a parts catalog I saw there is a tool to break the outer edge of the track. In doing so to say a new m8 track, would the track perform similar to that of the flex edge ski-doo track?

That is the idea, yeah. I personally dont have experience with either the flex edge, or a cracked track, but i know its not for me, the cracked track that is. Track manufacturers dont recomend it, and i know ag tracks dont last long at all once a member is broken...but i say again, no personal experience. On a final note, i have a hard time swalowing the pricetag on that tool, as i personally can build one far cheaper. (but i have the equipment, and dont have to pay for overhead either.)

One of my riding buddies did it this year with that tool and he loves it. It's a mod you have to decide for your self on, everyone has an opinion but in the end it does have some ups and downs... do some searches in the XP section.
