track alignment help?

sorry in advance if this has been posted before. I haven't been able to find any info on it...

Newbie question but want to be sure! My track is rubbing on this screw head on the chain case. Is it correct to tighten the idler wheel adjuster on the right side ( as you sit on bike) to bring the track over a bit to the right? The idler wheels seem really tight...

This is a new 16 TS kit with only 2 or 3 hrs on it.

Here is a pic:

Thanks!

Look at your drivers to see if the track can move in the direction you desire. The drivers should be pressed on to a position that centers the track between the side panels. If the drivers are not in the proper position you may not be able to move the track as the position of the track at the front is controlled by the drivers with little wiggle room for adjustment. Track adjustment in the rear has little impact on the track at the front.

to move the track left (sitting on the machine, looking forward), tighten the right side or loosen the left side...to move right, tighten the left or loosen right side... as stated above, inspect your drivers to make sure there is room for the track to move...you may even want to "pry" the track over on the drivers to help it move a bit..

Thanks!

Thanks for the replies. I've adjusted the idler wheels as suggested. There does seem to be a little room for the track to move to the right on the drivers. It hasn't moved much by loosening the right adjuster and tightening the left, each by 4mm. I'm spinning the track under power on the stand for more than a few revolutions.

I'm only looking for a few mm. to clear this bolt!
