TRA-III interchangeability

Are all the tra-3s the same? Will the primary from an '04 600 fit the taper of an '04 800? The part numbers are different but I thought it might still work...

It'll work. 800 clutches are forged And 600 are cast

Any reason you wouldn't put a cast clutch on an 800 crank? Pipe, can and head but no major mods.

Cast is more brittle than forged materials and somewhat softer.

Basically looks like you will need to run a 600 belt a 166/288/377 ect. will eventually wear the clutch sheeves.

But I would check alignment and I'm sure you'll need to use your old spring and I would think more weight would have to be added going from a 600 to an 800. JMO.
