TRA beginner...dumb dumb.

I should have know better. First time I have taken a TRA apart in my life. Got it apart....I like the P-85 better but I can get used to it. So I marked the fixed half with the arrow before I took the sliding half off the fixed sheeve. Good there noticed all the arrows except for the spring cap. I replaced the primary spring and forgot to mark or notice where the cap (what holds the spring down) Well it has a arrow on it but I could find no markings to line it up with. I put it to the arm with the part number, then lined up the next arrows and put back together. I seem to vibrate much less at idle now...wishful thinking??

THe arms with the rollers were really gumed up and would not move up and down freely. cleaned those now they fall up and down.

Also, when you put the sliding sheeve back on the fixed sheeve I just lined up the mark I made then torqued it down on the crankshaft with the clutch bolt. Sled loaded ok so I guess it's all right:)

What's the torque on the clutch both?? The ski-doo dealer and it crazy tight.

89 ft/lbs. run motor and recheck. There are marks on all the parts. The fixed sheeve has a little notch on the backside. The movable sheevs has a bump on the edge of sheeve and the govenor cup has a arrow. The spring cap has a arrow also.

the bump is there just a lot easier to identify for the first time when it is already lined up from the factory. Just have a buddy that is familiar with it show it too you once and you will be golden.
