working on an electrical issue. running a vipec on with a 2012 electrical system and throttle bodies. Sled was running great, then had an injector rail issue and needed to be pulled in. Got sled in shop and noticed snow had packed in around the clutch guard area and wiring. Blow it all out with air and pulled stuff off to fix rail which included disconnecting TPS and removing throttle bodies. during reassembly i blew out all connections that needed to be reconnected. Prime fuel pump with vipec and test injectors. didn't start sled as it was getting late. Sled started fine the next morning. pull out of garage and went to trailer to fill with gas. I don't remember if it was just as i was pulling up or when i restarted the sled i notice the stock gauge flash off then on. Didn't think anything of it. pull up about twenty five feet and shut sled off. It was cold so waited for it to warm up before riding. Started sled and let it warm. Idled fine but notice on A/F gauge it was idling a little lean low 15's compared to 14.7 where it has always been, but it was still cold out. Sled was about 90 degrees water temp so decided to head out. didn't hardly get down the road when stock gauge and a/f gauge started flashing on and off like a christmas tree and sled ran crappy. Pulled sled back into garage and looked things over, disconnected all connections and blew them out. Ohm tested stator, was within specs. Tested voltage output dc and ac at regulator seemed fine at idle and revving. Check vipec for any voltage faults and it was fine. started sled and went back out, made a few runs and sled seemed good but them just when i thought it was all good, stock gauge flashed and sled stuttered. The sled runs good but then out of the blue the a/f gauge and stock gauge will flash and sled stumbles. doesn't seem to be a throttle position or any reason for it. it may happen once or twice every couple minutes. Thinking TPS, Stator, Voltage regulator/rectifier???? I don't run headlights and i have a koso egt gauge hooked up to the AC side of things with a small rectifier. Koso gauge doesn't seem to be affected. Need to talk to Bryce about the vipec and its ability to check TPS and voltage settings. Any other thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.
