TPS adjustment

Make sure you get the idle screw in the correct location before reading the setting. I didn't do this and ended up with a sled idling at 2700 RPM's. I believe you back it off until it is just not touching the plate.

if the manual says .93 - .96 Have you had better luck at .698? Can I ask why you set it at .698? Im not asking because I think your wrong Im just wondering. Trying to learn something. My sled has a slight stumle at 5-10% throttle / 4700 - 5500 rpm. Hoping that adjusting the TPS will help

There are 2 settings, the "base setting" (the most critical) and the idle setting (Idle RPM). To check the "Base Setting",
1. disconnect the throttle cable from the flipper
2. adjusted the idle screw so that it's not opening the throttle blades (next to the throttle cable connection on the Mag side of throttle bodies - DO NOT adjust the screw in between the throttle bodies)
3. flip the the throttle a time or two to ensure they are fully closed.
4. Check TPS reading, should be .700 +/- .01
5. Adjust TPS if needed, to be with in specs. Tighten TPS screws ensuring it stays within range.
6. Adjust idle screw so TPS shows .94 +/- .01. Set idle screw lock nut.
7. Reconnect throttle cable on flipper. Ensure throttle cable isn't to tight, opening the throttle blades. Use cable adjustment up by the handlebars to adjust.

Your comment regarding your throttle position of 5 to 10% followed by a stumble...is your sled stock or modified? Would you describe the stumble as a rich condition or as a surge a lean condition?

I'm confused by that step myself. It seems you would keep it connected or once you do reconnect it the setting would be off. Also, isn't there a ready for once the throttle is pinned? Something like .40000?
You disconnect it to ensure there is no pull on the throttle cable, throttle blades have to fully closed. If you reconnect it and the reading changes, your cable is too tight.

Sled being stock. Cruising at low speeds ( 15 mphish ) light throttle (5-10%) you can feel the sled hesitating. I put a PCV with an auto tune to see what It did and it magnafied the hesitation. I looked at the enrichment tables and it had a block from 0-10% and 48-5200 RPM that it was trying to drastically enrichen the sled. That made it unridable at that speed. Disconnect the PCV and it is rideable but still can be felt.
