Toyota question

i think there pretty nice trucks. im not big on how they look but besides that there nice havent heard anything bad about them except from the people that dont think anything not american can be good

Oh jeeze, you're opening a can of worms here with that one. Some on here figure you need at least a 1 ton dually diesel with every mod possible to pull a 2 place open because God forbid 350hp isn't enough to do so and that the Tundra will be dragging the rear bumper with a load of groceries in it:rolleyes:. Others here say they pull their trailers (some open, some enclosed) just fine and dandy with their Tundra. Its been covered on here a few times and the general consensus is that they are pretty decent trucks.

My .02

Toyoga makes a very good truck.......................................

In a "Pearl Harbor" sort of way.;)

I'll never own anything other than a Toyota truck after having one. I'd prefer buy an American truck also, but I won't spend that kind of money if it's not what I want.

I heard a couple of guys 5th wheeling down to the USA from Canada actually broke their frames in half and were trying to get them fixed under warranty but no US dealer would touch them. I love Toyota but their trucks are still too lightly built. Check out the Ford website and watch the comparison video and you will see what i'm talking about. They will get there in time.

I have a comment.

Why The F aren't you buying American?????:confused:

I got the first one off the truck two years ago and love it. And to answer the question above; because I work very hard for my money and strive to make the best decision possible when I spend it. Plus I like having the best, kinda a ego thing don't you know!:)

That cool if you like paying too much for a truck to begin with. Then get lousy Gas mileage and be under powered to boot!!!:beer;

under powered? 0 to 60 in under 6 seconds, don't even know my snowmobile trailer is back there going up Ashton Hill?

I get 19 hi-way which is better than the last 4 Fords I had got

last but not least, you get what you pay for, had to talk price when you are comparing Klim with Snowrider

I got an 08 reg cab longbox for work. All I can say is I'm glad I didn't buy it and that I don't pay the fuel bill. On the highway averaging 395km to 90 litres of gas. I've had chevs, fords for work trucks and perfer them. Had an older toyota xtracab great little truck. These tundras toyota sure dropped the ball on them. Never have I disliked a vehicle as much as I do the tundra.

Fuel mileage sucks compared to what? I had the (apparently) good mileage GM 5.3L and guess what....it sucked too. The Tundra gets the same as my 5.3 with me driving both, but it has 120 more horsies and is a larger, more capable truck....

The leftover 08 brand new ones are a good deal right now. The 09's will be a very short (4 month or so) production run, and then the 2010's will be coming out with a facelift, a new small motor (4.6L V8), and probably some other new goodies and packaging changes. So if you're looking for a deal on a Tundra, the time is now!

The bottom line is to drive em all and see what you like....they DO drive quite differently from all other pickups, and most of the guys who talk interweb smack have never been behind the wheel. I wouldn't give a 2nd though to toughness or reliability....if there are issues, Toyota stands behind their vehicles moreso than any other brand, PERIOD. As far as wearing out components...well, worst case scenario is that they wear em out as fast as a domestic. Fortunately, wear items DO last a lot longer in Yota's, but domestic guys will never believe that, so I'm wasting my breath. Yes they are priced higher, so it's up to you to decide if INITIAL cost is your # 1 priority....

Go drive, I bet you like....
