Torsion Spring clutch for a 900?

Ur talking like the old P2 secondary clutches rite? As far as i know Polaris didnt make the P2 with a splined shaft so it wont work on the 900, only made them for the 1" keyed jackshaft.

hmm... i dont really know. I guess i dont really see a reason why you couldnt do it. Maybe someone else will know for sure.

Ok there is a way to run a button with the splined jackshaft.A guy posted it on HCS before. You'll have to search partsland but I'm pretty sure ya need to look at widetrack 4 stroke sleds and 1 or 2 years used a splined button secondary.

Fastrax makes a shaft just for that application.

In some cases the new clutches just react too fast. I am considering doing the same thing.

EXACTLY..

same exact thing indydan was saying is the issue with the 900 cranks...he pretty much nailed the 900 crank issues to the secondary..and the TEAM clutch is not anywhere near a perfect match for the P-85 Primary...

if you could get the button style secondary on the 900...indydan said you will never loose a 900 crank (as long as you have done all necessary work to protect it)...(ie. good motor mounts, alignment/floating, perfect clutching)

i would like to see this done...

With Curts shaft conversion, it would be a piece of cake.

On my turbo the Team works well, but in a lot of instances way too fast. I would like to clean the dust off a old button and get a box of helix's out of the shop. It has just been too much fun, just riding lately though.

The problem is none of the mod companies want to put any time into it, and help us out. The Team is what is widely accepted as the best all around. Everyone thinks they would be going backwards.

I see Shane @ HM has a torsion conversion for the Team. I am also interested in this. That might solve some of the problems. I think in my case a good old button is the best case scenario though.
