Torn Tie Rod Boots a safety hazard!

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this problem. I first noticed that the little plastic bushings that slide on the tie rods and had come loose from the rubber boots. I zip tied them back in thinking the factory zip ties were just loose. The last few days of our 10 day revy bender I was experiencing major binding and resistance in my steering resulting in several near tree collisions. Upon further inspection those rubber bushings had come loose again and the mag side boot was torn in half allowing snow intrusion into the belly pan where it was melting and then freezing around the steering linkage making it almost impossible to steer. I pulled major ice chunks out and within day it was all frozen back up. Other than belts this is the only issue I've had that has caused me any concern with my sled. Anyone else experience this ?

No I did not tear them on a tree and no I don't have a skid plate on. When the plastic bushings Pop out snow gets in the boot and freezes causing it to rip wide open. Which in turn allows more snow into the linkage area which melts and freezes causing major binding and limited steering.
