Torn on my sled or a new one

So do I build a some what mod or do I snow check a 13 what do u guys think

I loved my Mod 03 escape. Setup well, with all the good stuff. I bought an 11 Pro new. Kept my Escape as a back up sled. I finally realized that after riding my bone stock Pro, I'll never ride my Escape again and broke down and parted it out. Yes, there is that big of a difference. The Pro is just so easy to ride. Not beat up from a long hard day of riding like on the old stuff. Miss the hp that I had in my edge, but not because of where it would get me. Once again, the underpowered(?) Pro will go places my Mod never could get to. But it sure did pull hard on the set up snow! Oh well. Very fond memories of that sled, but sure don't miss riding it.

I just went through the same thing. The newest sled I ever had was an 03 Edge RMK. It was in excellent shape, ran great and went pretty much anywhere i pointed it. I was happy with it. I figured that's was as good as it gets.
The mistake I made made was riding a newer machine for a couple weekends up in the mountains. The handling and ride of the new machines is just no comparison. Needless to say, I sold the Edge and am now looking at snow checks.
I guess it all comes down to personal preference, how much you ride, cash, etc., but after you ride one for a couple days, I'd bet you'd go for the 12/13.

You might want to ask yourself whether saving 100 lbs is worth an extra $8000. Is it worth $80 per lb or $5 per ounce? On the other hand, you could keep your old sled and buy a nice steak dinner for yourself and your riding buddies, every time you get back from sledding in order to take a little bit of the sting out of fighting the heavier edge chassis all day long.

I'm in a similar boat. Rebuild the motor on my 04' 800 and keep riding it? Or rebuild it, sell the sled, and pickup a new(er) sled? Or part out my old one and buy a new(er) sled. Realistically I think I'll fix mine, ride it another season and save more $, then sell it/part it and pay cash for a used 13' pro. I rode a 13 doo and didn't care for it at all..

I bought a new 800 pro rmk this year, traded my 05 800 rmk in on it and have not looked back once, maybe because I am older and don't ride as agressave as you young guns. Yah right! Lol!

Get the pro chassis!

Tried my cousins 600 VE last week, forgot how hard it was to ride compared to just my IQ RMK. Only thing I miss about my old 600 Escape was the fuel economy.

Sell it and get the Pro. You will be glad you did:face-icon-small-coo
I have an 02 Edge and LOVED it last year after adding a new seat and running boards. Felt like a whole new machine. I picked up a used 11 Pro for this season and can not stand riding the sled I thought was so good last year. I can ride hard all day and not be sore for the next few days after riding the Pro, can't say that about the Edge. I am now thinking I will sell the Edge and pick up a Pro 600 for the kids and to have as a back up sled.
I say go for it!

Ok i have alway had a polaris that said does it have to be brand new? does it have to be a polaris? i bought a used m sled and love it no it's not the newest but it is a big step in chassi. plus the motor has been very dependable. If you get the pro be sure and get the extended warranty in case you need it.
