:confused:Putting topper on pickup, both have sliding windows
Was wondering best way to get heat in the topper?
And also the best way to seal between topper and pu??
Thanks:confused:

To seal topper to bedsides use weather stripping. To seal front of topper to rear window of truck, try a bicycle inner tube or a dirt bike tube if the gap is large. As for heat, knew a guy that plumbed a bus heater in the back of his. There are also small 12V heaters, but I have found them to be ineffecient. If this was going to be a long term deal, I would do the bus heater or similar. Maybe plumb it in with quick-connects on the hoses.

Was also thinking about running wireing back
& maybe getting a bigger power inverter then
running a small electric heater.
What do you guys think??

Electric when stationary. I use a small ceramic to keep my dog warm on below zero nights.

Why electric when stationary??
Also found a clear rectangular tube thing to try
between the topper and pu & can still use the
sliding windows.
Any other ideas for heat while traveling??
Thanks

Schoolbus heater...

I have one in the back of my 09 Chevy 3500 with a topper. Works great even in below zero weather. The major sacrifice is cutting holes in the floor of your bed to run the hoses to the front. That is kind of painfull but now that it is done it's great.

If you have a diesel, a bunk heater from a semi tractor works good. These will fry eggs, but are pricey. I pull a trailer with my truck & topper so I put a small generator in the trailer and a electric heater in the topper, works good. For gas trucks you could run radiator hoses back and install a tractor cab type heater, good luck
