Tony grove

I drove up there yesterday and the snotel was reading almost two feet And it looked like it too. We are supposed to get storms starting Saturday and going through next week. On Sunday I actually went up steep canyon and got into some pretty good snow up high on the ridges. Still have to be careful but after next week it should be pretty good riding. I will post pics from my ride up steeps tonight when I get home.

I sent a text to a buddy that went up yesterday and asked him how snow was. His reply was "need more snow". Hopefully we get dumped on this weekend.

M8chris you are nuts riding that area, those are land mines on that hill. Then again was up yesterday in a real close area to where you were, little more snow but just as many land mines, its coming. tony's looks like it's got a good start haven't been up there for 2 weeks and that is considerably more snow.

Thanks for sharing the pics chris!:beer;

I was going to head up saturday, but I think I will wait it aout till after these storms pass.

Chubby, I will be going up next week the first clear day we have.
Will be Franklin basin though... I'm not gonna press my luck riding tonys this early.
You are more than welcome to come when I go, will probably be my pa and I.
Plus I know where the rocks are and are not in franklin;)

Smokin 800, I believe chris lives in logan.

Lets all get a ride going next week.

yes I live in Logan. I'm down for a weekday ride whenever. I'm out for Christmas break next week so just say the word and I'll be there. I agree tony grove is too risky without about five feet of a snow, franklin is the safer bet. Killerk you still have my number?

.

Were heading up for sure sometime next week, just waiting to see what day is gonna be the best. We were going to wait, and see who gets the most snow this weekend, and go from there.

I'd love to try Franklin Basin. I've never been there. Always went to Tony grove when we head up that way. There will be 3 of us heading up that way if you want to ride.

Yes chris, I still have your#... Lets see what the wheather is going to do and go from there... I have vacation to burn!

We have a cabin in franklin so I know the area very well... We ride tony quite a bit, but we park in franklin and ride steam mill/white pine up to the top of tonys.
I will keep an eye on this thread and we will get something planned for next week.

I am having a hard time working knowing there is untracked snow.
