Today's ride, Noblett's to Strawberry Bay

Well the 4 of us hit it this morning and parked at Noblett's. Fresh groomed trail right out of the parking lot all the way up to the Mill Hollow gaurd station, then bumpy from there to the top of Lake Creek.

Then fresh groomed all the way down and out to Coop Creek. We hopped the road, bombed across Strawberry (Danger Will Robinson, open water!!) and over to the Strawberry Bay lodge. They were nice enough to open the cafe and feed us... nummy. The guys at Strawberry Bay always are glad to see us it seems.

We then came back across to Strawberry River (still on fresh groomed trails) and up the back side to Tower and back to Nobletts.

76 miles, coughing fumes when we got back. We don't typically trail ride, but it was UGLY off trail. We played in a couple of meadows up high, but even that was questionable.

But we had a great ride on the fresh groomed trails.

John and Paul at Strawberry Bay are great guys!

We rode Nobletts today as well. Found a few little out-of-the-way bowls that had some nice untracked powder, but we needed at least three more feet to feel comfortable bombing it through the fields.

On a side note, I lost control of my sled three fourths of the way up one of the hills just south of Tower and watched it bomb down through a grove of Pine trees, only to thread the needle and not hit a thing!

Lucky day today...lol.

Fox Tail Ridge is one heck of a steep hill, but great early snow in those pines....

Rode Nobletts again yesterday. Still needs more snow but there were consistent pockets of 2+ feet of pure powder. We broke the trail up to Tower and got in a lot of untracked areas. Way fun and no broken sleds!
