When he hooked his skis on the asphalt and stopped dead, he tried to gently throttle though it and the sled went sideways.

Again, he tried to throttle gently and it went nowhere.

When he got off and yanked the ski, I knew it was going to turn out good. Camera was ready. I told Toad to video it.
