to those with mountain addiction skids help has arived

I took my sled out for its first ride after a quick test and tune trip to pop my limiters in the backcountry. It really sucked to learn they broke by all but doing a back flip on a tree filled hill. I repaired them on the hill by replacing them with multiple wraps of mule tape......that too almost broke.....so I got to investigating.

the limiter straps on their top mounting location com in contact with the track during some point in the suspensions travel, so I eliminated the contact point by replacing the upper mounting point from a simple wrap around the bar, to a piece of .125 x 1" stainless that is bent around the upper mount. the new limiter setup is simply pierced and bolted to the new flat bar so the track has increased clearance of roughly .125-.2" since the stainless is much thinner. another benefit is that the track will not wear the stainless like it did the original limiters.

wish me luck.
