I'm on that list too, just couldn't pass up that option.

On the serious side, I would buy it in a heartbeat and make anyone that sleds with me watch it at least once.

And for those that haven't seen it, Out of Ophirica is a breathtaking avy vid. Its just ski patrol from a local area bombing the hills, but its still amazing to watch.

I think it's a great idea! I, for one don't have time to put something like this together, and frankly, I don't want to bring back the memories of X-Mas Eve again. It's not something I want to experience again. I would be more than willing to share my story and donate any footage I get of avies to someone who is willing.

I will be doing a tribute to our two lost friends in this year's flic, but that's all the avy stuff you'll see from me.

Great idea! I hope someone runs with it.

I thought there was already a sled specific avy movie out. I can't remember the name of it though. I thoght it was released by some one or an organization out of the sun valley area. something to look into though.

I would sure like to see this film come about. Watching some huge Avys rolling down the mountain to some great music would be awesome. Throw in some (existing - no one go risk their life for this) footage of sleds riding out avys and a few narrations from some survivors and rescuers along with some great backcountry riding scenes. Someone make this film please!

Ya might try savafilm.com. Good guy he rides and is member of local club. Might do more if you let him know of interest in a film like that.
