TNytro Ski upgrade

Looking for suggestions - just back from 4' + fresh all weekend, climbing obviously was grrreat!, coming down could not see as powder was over the bars - want to find ski with improved flotation & less darting on trail would be OK. Was thinking simmons but have heard mixed reviews. This is only 2nd year riding so I appreciate comments from all you experienced mountain riders, Thanks.

gen 2's rode mine out in the fields and very happy no snow flying into my face, ran gen 1 on my cat and very much like on rails feels like same on my nytro.

I have Gen2s on my Nytro and I am very happy with their performance.I had Gen1 and Gen2 on my mountain cat.I would switch between riding days and found the gen 2 to drive and side hill as good as Gen1.The big difference was in the powder.

Thanks for answers, I am checking into availability & price. Is there anyone who has simmons Gen 1 or II on a Nytro that has had trouble sidehilling - I talked to one guy with Gen II & that's what he said.

you wont even be able to tell the diff....my gen2's I can hold a line for a mile:)

I just added a set of Gen2 to my turbo Rx and they are a compromise. I would say they are marginally harder to sidehill with but not enough so that I would go back to a narrow ski. IMO the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, so much so that I just bought a set for my Nytro. Again IMO I think the Gen2s are going to be the perfect match for the Nytro especially for anyone who still finds the Nytro tippy. I think the Gen2s will add just the right amount of stability. I guess time will tell.
