I took your suggestion of studded tires on an old set of wheels for winter driving
Figure it saved my butt this morning on North Cascades highway (20)....My truck was steady and sure footed with the studded tires..... Road was glare ice.....small suv spu out/overturned between Mazama and Liberty Bell...folks were ok....I nearly fell on my butt when I got out......bunch other vehicles were sliding about......me and guy from small suv scampered off the road to keep from being hit by sliding vehicles.....
just thought I would say thank you!
