getting ready to remove my pull start cover to remove the flywheel? I ordered some stubby allen wrenches -curious if that will do the trick?
Is the
only option to remove two engine mounts?

I got back from my trip and went after it. Took about 12 minutes without removing the motor mounts. Ball head allens worked like a charm.

Now I have everything off - sending the flywheel to ZRP today for lightning.

I didn't remove the motor mounts. Just used an allen wrench, and allen sockets with some extensions. It takes a little work to get the bolts out, but it really isn't that difficult.

These are snowmobiles... with enough elbow grease, cursing, and beer, you can repair and mod about anything on them. Don't over-think it.

Just my opinion... and opinions are like assholes... everyone's got one.

Yea, my 850 already had the hole I used to drill out on the 800 to access the lower front bolt. The 850 is super easy with the ball allan head. No need to take out the motor mount bolts on the 850
