timing key at 10k ele

anyone running a timing key advance on thier m1000's?
going over dynotech chats and it shows some benifit at sealevel ,, any cons to doing this up in the mountains?

Tryed one in slightly mod M1000. I ride a 9500/11000 ft. Did not help

they had it on a f1000,
hooked up to dyno ( equivalent of intake / pod set up )
vf 8 petal reeds and 2 ^ timing key

chart was 6900-7600 witch was pretty flat anyhow,

reeds and stock were almost the same until 7300 , then reeds were clearly over stock, but not greater than peak hp between 7000 and 7300 of the stock..
stock showed 172 at 7200 ( airbox removed as explained )
reeds,2key showed 176 at 7100.
on 93oct

so could i expect these results at altitude?

had one on my 800 bb and all it did was make it get hot in the midrange no matter what setting on the box

ya, i was told that a key would not be a good idea , so scrapping the plans on that

Buddy put 3 degree on 09 800, all it did was pop codes, took it out ............
