Timbersled Ski

I am looking for anyone who has tried modifying a timbersled ski. I am thinking about removing most of the center skag similar to an A. D. Bovion Explorer ski. Any thoughts, thanks in advance.

Why would you do that. Tall center keel is way better. If you only trail ride then maybe boivin ski with pivot be ok

I only am asking because I have already changed the center skag, which helped darting on hard pack. Although kind of an apple to orange comparison I have an old Explorer kit which was better on hard pack and had a two carbide setup like an old Simmons snowmobile ski. Love the Timbersled most of the time, just kinda twitchy when riding down the trail.
