How lose/tight do you run your track? Lift the rear and measure the drop of the track in the middle. Could be from a loose track

So it was 3 fingers loose.. I tightened up to 2 fingers.. In the directions it says to relighted once ratcheting ?

Funny you mentioned this today.
Look what I did on Saturday.
My rails showed the same wear as yours.
My track must have been a little loose.
I buggered up one clip.Lucky there was no other damage. Squeezed a new clip on and had an awesome ride on Sunday!

I'm also thinking the anti stab idea is a good one.
My friend that rides an old '11 horse has them on his rails and I think it came that way?
This happened when I jumped a creek and the hard lip on the far side of the creek must have hit
real hard just below my drivers.
Puts you over the bars instantly!

Those marks are from the rails hitting the track as it comes around the TOP(before your drivers) when your suspension is fully compressed.

There is no chance of the rails stabbing because you have those marks on the rail tip.

But as ravenous showed it can happen when something pushes the track hard between the rail tip and the drivers. An Anti stab would help with that.

Loose tracks don't perform well as a properly tightened track.

1" (two fingers approximate)... seems really loose to me.

What does the manual call for?

Up to two inches or until it ratchets.. It work really well today with the tighten track.. It had to be too loose.

If you think about it, when you put on the gas where does all your belt slack go? Right below the drivers and to the snow. I had to loosen my track up because it wouldn't spin on it's own even with some ride time on it. There is definitely a sweet spot.
