Hey everybody,

Looking for some great modifications for your stock snowmobile??
If you want products that will make your sled lighter and perform better, Timbersled Products have what you need. I recently installed a Mountain Tamer and Clean Air intake kit on my 06' M7. With installing just those two products, I saved a total of 26-28 lbs. The Mountain Tamer reduced 20 lbs alone, and with the air intake, I lost about 8 lbs due to removing the air box and the plastic air ducting that runs up along the hood. I rode last weekend and was abesolutely amazed with how well the Mountain Tamer performed. I really focused my attention to the skid while riding to make sure I increased performance on my sled. I noticed very little trenching, no out of control ski lift, and in the weirdest situations where I should have been stuck, I would simply grab a handful of throttle and Let R' Buck. With the dramatic weight reduction on the Mountain Tamer, a wide range of adjustments for rider weight and/or personal preferences, traction that you dream of, and not to mention great customer service, I will never own a sled and not install a Mountain Tamer, it's just that great. I can't think of anything negative to say about it. The air intake kit is another product that made my day of riding better. As you other Arctic Cat guys know, on the stock M7, the bottom end and mid-range is pretty much a terd. Well, this kit improved both bottom end and mid-range, which makes your day of riding in the tree's a lot funner. I also noticed it brings your sled up to top speed a lot quicker. Now I know people complain about this kit being an under the hood intake, but with a stock intake, your air intake ducting when your hood is closed, is directly over the exhaust pipe. So at low RPM's in the tree's when you're working your way through, your air intake is heating up a lot. That isn't outside air intake to me. It is still hot air. I've noticed that the people who don't have the air intake kit, have nothing but negative comments. And for the others who do have them, love them. I am one of those people who do have this product and I enjoy it very much. If you want to take a deeper look into these products, or have any questions, check out www.timbersled.com

Put the Timbersled intake on my 08 M1000 and found the self tapping screws way too light (easy to twist off) and kit should include the long drill bit instead of saying you need an extra long bit (hard to find). I ended up purchasing stronger self tapping screw etc for my install, other than that the kit does save a lot of weight and seems to be of good quality. Just my 2 cents.

ok...air intake may be a decent price and good product. But you can't say the mountain tamer is a great upgrade, because it dang well better be for what, $2000??? Of course I would love one, but i would love a turbo, a VE tunnel, a 2000 dollar skid, a 1500 dollar a arm kit also

But, I will admit. If I had the money, I would love to try a Mtn Tamer, or an Ezryde, holz skid and see the performance as they must be incredible, seems like alot of people pay up for them

Cat Front end includes different-than-stock-length Fox Floats so it is more expensive. All other front ends retail for $850.

I too have found the Timbersled stuff to work extremely well.
