Timbersled customer service kicks A$$!!

I have one of the early versions of the Timbersled Mountain Tamer rear skid on my boosted Nytro. Went through a creek bed and bottomed out hard and bent/broke the rear shock upper cross shaft, which caused the lower shock mount shafts to bend.

Talked to Allen today and he is standing behind his product and sending me an updated version of the rear arm and new shock shafts. The updated version has a gusseted top shaft that has had no problems.

Once again, Allen lives up to his reputation of selling a great product and standing behind it.

His suspension works great, and he's great to deal with. I'd buy this product again, and recommend to my closest friends.

Thanks Allen!! :beer;:beer;

its good to hear.. Great when somebody like allen will stand up and take the customer support in our industry to the next level..

Good Post Brent, this is what this forum can do for us as consumers, good or bad.Allen and his crew are top notch:beer;Cheers Red Dog.

Flip side of the coin -

Awhile back I ordered their $250.00 m series air intakes, what I recieved in the mail was $80.00 suspension drop brackets. I called and they shipped the intakes and asked if I would ship back the brackets. No problem (keep in mind I now have a long distance call charge and an extra shipping charge).

Two weeks ago I ordered the $40.00 handlebar m series speedo/tach bracket to run stock with my aftermarket hood. What I got was a little flat piece of alluminum so you can attach the round tach from a zr to the handlebars. Ok, honest mistake right. Again I call (last thursday) and was told he will get the right bracket out right away and could I ship the other bracket back (again, long distance call and shipping charges).

Well, it has been 6 days since I talked to them and still no bracket. I'm in southern Idaho and they are in northern Idaho. So there you go,

Mtn_Extreme, Once again I apologize for the fact that you recieved the wrong product two times in a row. Your Tac Bracket is on the way, you should have it soon. Please send me an itemized bill for your phone calls, your shipping charges, and the postage for the envelope containing the itemized bill and Timbersled Products will send you a check. Thank You again for your bussiness. Budd

WOW......
Worried about getting reimbursed for phone calls? Try e-mail next time there penny pincher, its free. How do you afford the gas for the sled?

I would bet that the shipping was a simple oversight. I know I wouldn't worry about it. But as you can see they will pay you back. Timbersled is not a huge mail order place that does pre paid return labels, etc. I bet if you would have asked they would have taken care of you. But it's more fun to flame on the forum, isn't it? Also keep in mind that this is the busy time for them, so a little patience goes a long way.

I guess you can't please everyone, but you can add me to the list of "100% SATISFIED TIMBERSLED CUSTOMER"

Budd,

Fair enough, service is all I ask. As long as a company tells you something and fallows thru, I will support them whenever I can. Like I said on the phone, I understand mistakes, but when I'm told it will get right out and I don't see it for a week, that usually means something else was more important. Your offer to make it right tells me to continue to try and do business with you. It is important to me to help keep good businesses in this sport around.

mtn_extreme....Just an FYI...this last weekend was the Puyallup Snow Show, which is the largest show west of Haydays, and Timbersled had a booth at the show. That means they were not in the shop last Friday, and probably spent most of Thursday getting ready.

Before you come on my thread and flame them, next time give them a call and give them the chance to make it right in private so they dont have to come on here in public and make you look like an A$$.

First of all a**hat, I was simply explaining my experience for others to know what to expect. Nowhere was I looking for reimbursement and will not sent them a bill, but just explaining the situation. As far as asking, that was the reason for the personal phone calls after the order in the first place. If you look at this thread from a "not so negative" aspect (notice I didn't flame them), you might see as how this has been a good thing for Timbersled in showing others that they do stand behind their mistakes and are willing to make things right!

modsledr,

Did I not tell the story right or are you guys just not getting it? I DID call in person on thurs after recieving the wrong product and was told they would get it right out. How is that not clear?

Coming on a thread titled "Timbersled Customer Service Kicks A$$", and stating "Flip side of the coin" IS flaming them. And stating that "your experience is what OTHERS can expect" IS flaming them.

Obviously, they proved once again the point I was making.

If the shipping and long distance charges weren't a big deal to you, then why did you bring it up?

If they sent you the wrong parts and have made it right, then you have nothing to complain about. The fact that it happened during show time makes it TOTALLY understandable the time lag. If an extra few days in Oct when we have no riding yet is that big of a deal, then maybe next year you should plan a little better and not order during their busiest time of the year.

If I sound defensive its because I am. Timbersled is one of a handful of sled companies who offers great prodicts and great service. When you actually have something to complain about, start your own thread.
