Timber Sled Suspension For Nytro

I think a spare limiter strap could be stored pretty easily. prolly what i will do. also if anyone is interested there are some good pics of ant-stab kits installed over in the ty4stroke forums. thinking i am going to run my wheels right through the rail caps. peace

Prolly a safe bet installing them as forward as you can get.

I've seen the timber/ice age combo stab a track. Wasnt pretty, cut the track in half. Had to rip down to the truck, go to town and buy a track, toss it on the back of the tunnel, ride 26kms and install the new one on the hill. A day of riding lost and 900 beans for a track. Costly day for my buddy, could have been worse if he was on the pipe @16lbs, cause if that track would have stabbed at that time he would just be landing. lol

Ive installed 3 timbers this year, all with the one limiter, and all are fine to date. (Personally, i would like to see 2, but thats my own opinion).

could it be guys are running there tracks too lose keep mine somewhat tight & hadnt had any probs but i havnt put many miles on as of late:Dhope i get my motor parts soon

Are you guys just running the one limiter strap that came with the kit?? One strap has me worried a tad...but it must work right? Had limiter straps break before and dont want to ruin a day or a track.

Nope I run 2 right off the bat so far so GREAT:D

Have any of you guys had parts missing from your timbersled orders ? We have and its been a pain in the arse.

Just finished building mine...everything was there and the instructions couldnt be any better....best I have seen from a aftermarket company.

OK base line for a MCX Nytro...heres what I have been told

135psi rear shock

80psi front shock

2 1/4 inch spacers under the rear transfer and 1 1/4 inch over?? You guys finding this combo to work?? Also where have you got your limiter strap set at?? is the 12" in the book close or is shorter needed??

Also what is this "float fluid" Dont see it in the instructions anywhere...must be blind.

Oh and it weighed 40.5 lbs with 162 ice age rails and scratchers and 3 rear 8 inch billets...not to bad.

Thistle; I think if you look at the instructions you cannot change the limiter strap, because it doesn't use that to control the wheelie I think it is step 14 and 24. I just put 2 shims under the back bottom and that really helped and I think I will try one under the top..I set the rear shock @ 140 and the front @95 Still working on the ride for my heavy butt:eek:
