Thursdays day ride at salmon la sac

Wish I would've checked sooner....

or we would've met up with you Caam12. Just got back from riding up at Gallaher today with a buddy. We drove up a ways with the deck and unloaded about two miles before the turn off to go up there. Some of the creek crossings a little sketchy, a few whoops along the way, but conditions up top are still very favorable and had a great ride today. I would say there is still a few good days of riding from the last dump before it turns south....

Forgot one thing.....

Groomer hit the road!(It's not a rumor anymore! I didn't mind lifting my arse up for a few miles before, but they came through in the clutch with the road job! I've never been one to call them and question, but I'm seriously gonna call this time and say - "Thank You"!

Yes the F.S. closed the road to wheeled vehicle's and we groomed it on Wednesday. The problem we are going to have is people driving up there and blocking the road so we can't get the groomer through. The snow is thin on the bottom for the first mile. F.S. said they will write tickets to people driving past the closed road sign. If you drive pass the signs and park PLEASE leave room for the cat to get through we need 18'. If everyone could pass the word around that would be helpful. Thanks Tim Plan is to groom like normal Wed, Fri, Sat.

As of yesterday when we left, yes. Like 32below said, the first mile is pretty thin, but you should have some decent snow left on the shoulders to keep your carbides happy during that initial run. I can't say that the warmer weather and sun will help out over the next week for the first stretch though.....:face-icon-small-con Hope that answers you question.
