Thunder Mountain Lodge (TML), ARE THEY FOR REAL?

Howdy Gang,

Need your assistance... Thunder Mountain Lodge? Anyone able to communicate with them via email? After approximately six emails requesting additional information spanning the last month, the best I have gotten is “we are having issues”.

Good, bad, right or wrong I am trying to plan a special event but have had no feedback worthy... I am trying to plan a 30th wedding anniversary ride for my wife and I but thus far have been unsuccessful in reaching the folks at TML. From all of the posts I have read they seem to be great folks. Funny thing is, I will see occasional postings by the owner on Snowest regarding riding conditions and the such, but I’ll be darn if I can get through to him.

By the way, how about other destinations in Colorado, any recommendations for such an event. My bride is Hard Corp and would truly enjoy a weekend away riding, just about anywhere in the mountains.

Does anyone have any comments regarding Togwotee Mountain Lodge. I heard it is an enjoyable location and when all is said and done will probably be equal driving distance for me, etc.

Bottom line is I would prefer TML but dang if I can get any information after a month of trying. If anyone rides with the owner during the weekend, ask him to push an email to me that I can work with. Just trying to keep the monies local...!

TML is as real as it gets. Just give them a call. Mark the owner is as a straight a shooter as you will ever meet. He is a first class guy.

Good guy, good place. They even have high octane non-oxy fuel. My only complaint is that they are booked on the 12th .

I never had a problem getting anyone on the phone numerous times for questions and just got back from a 3 night stay, easy going folks,very accomidating,newly renovated,nice cabins,dog friendly, no stove but otherwise a kitchen w/electric griddle and we packed a grill so we did fine. Most importantly the snow was DEEP! though it really started to setup thurs/fri, with sunshine and warmer temps.
