Thumb warmer switch?

Hey guys, I took my first ride yesterday on my new SBA, and it rocks other than the thumb warmer... First sled that I have ever had with a thumb warmer that is too HOT. I have cold hands normally so this is a good thing but with no separate switch I found my self having to turn the warmers off when my fingers were still cold.

I don't understand why Polaris put the mode switch in two spots? Why not add a separate thumb warmer switch? I would like to remove the mode switch and add a thumb switch, maybe even move the headlight switch to the far left?

Can this be done? Is there a kit out there or can I buy Polaris parts?

Thanks

A little pricey, but the dash panel looks interesting. I emailed them to see how many wires i would have to cut.

Does anybody have any pictures of one of these set ups installed or better yet installation pictures? Im curious as to how cleanly everything hooks up.

This is the RSI switch as I installed it. The picture is not very good, but it is the little round switch just below the panel with the 3 rocker switches. I did not install the supplied aluminum plate over the rocker switches as it did not appear to be necessary. The kit did seem a bit expensive for what it is. I've only tried it in my driveway and everything seems to work.

What actually comes in the kit? The round switch and the aluminum plate? Where do they have you splice/cut the wire from the stock switch? I was thinking about getting a Poo switch and just replacing the mode switch with another hand warmer switch? I just wasn't sure how much wire I would need?

Since our snow has taken a leave of absence I think that I am gonna pull it apart.

The kit came with the round switch, aluminum plate (don't know why), 3 pieces of wire about 8" long, a scotch lock that a spade connector plugs into, and 5 or 6 spade connectors equipped with heat-shrink tubing. The magic of course is the instructions that tell you what wires to cut and how to connect everything to make it all work.

The "magic" is what I am looking for... I want to separate things out but do it using a stock switch. I don't see a need to have to mode switch in 2 places, so I want to delete it and add the thumb switch.

Any way to scan and show instructions?

I found the RSI kit for $40 on Amazon w/ free shipping, I couldn't pass it up because the Poo switch was $24 and I would have been guessing at what wires to cut.
