Did he call S&R or did he manage it ok with out the extra help.
Seems to me in a situation like that first thing I would do would be pull the cord on my avy pack. just in case the sled fell deeper and took me with it. Then I would have made a signal fire and most likely ate the person standing next to me.

First thing Ray did was grab his Spot, and send a rescue signal.:face-icon-small-win

Remind me not to get close to you if you get stuck.

Who and where this weekend? Yancy and I are going somewhere for a Saturday ride.:face-icon-small-hap

Ear's has 4' turning to mush Tom, but I think I can find some powder like snow on the north sides.

Sounds good. If you don't care myself and Yancy will meet you there Sat morning. :face-icon-small-hap

Alriiiight! My cell is 970-218-7624. That one pic of the open creek is a little too exciting a subject matter for Mark though. lol

Get her going Dizz, this weekend should be a hoot. 4' of fresh doesn't just turn into hardpack over-night. Pizzed I couldn't blow off work to go today, but we been working on a 1/2 mil contract proposal to keep me in pistons. A half dozen two week trips to the big island could cut into my sledding next year. Could be a worse place though..
