Throwing Det Code.......

So my sled has been recently starting to throw the det code miscellaneously. Ive read it can be anything form the TPS to the exhaust sensor. Anyone know the proper steps for chasing this down.......

Just about totaled my sled the other day about 10ft from the top of a 300ft pull and it threw the code and engine bogged, took every ounce of skill my a$$ had to not loose it and send it down into the trees........So any input would be appreciated.

When the pipe sensor goes bad the yellow light on your dash should light up .

Check the code there's instructions in your owners manual.

On 2014 and newer sleds make sure somebody didn't put dielectric grease on the tps connector. That will cause det.

What rpm were you turning when it happend? A wet belt are slipping belt will send you into det very easy.

Exhaust valves sticking can also cause DET.

Rolling on or off throttle, or if the springs overcome cylinder pressure (easier to do the higher you get) and start to shut and get stuck before they reopen.

I was just watching one of my GoPro snips, and there actually was a point where the sled was doing 8400 RPM's. The weird part is that it ran great, then about 3 seconds later throws the Det code at 8200RPM's and I get stuck lol. Arrggg. So I guess I need slightly heavier weights? I do have some custom weights from Dan's that I never put in. I guess nows the time. Just not sure what weight to go with........

I have a set of Dans machined adjustable weights. Anyone have any weight recommendations.

Should note that this sled has a high comp head. Still pump gas, but definitely worth mentioning.

4000 to 8000
Rather just get consistency out of it than every single ounce of performance though. So whichever would do that.....

Do you have a tuner on the sled? I dump extra fuel on over-rev and I think that helps.

I use Dalton adjustables, not sure how they compare to indy Dans though, I run 63-64gr at 6-8500 with high comp head and long rod engine.

We have witnessed this with Exxon fuel the last couple weeks. 91 Non-eth.

Edit:
We have sent a sample off for testing

I was wondering about this........ I did fill up with Exxon....

I was thinking maybe try running the computer on the different fuel setting might help????????
