Thoughts on ski width?

Ok, I searched, but couldn't find it.
What are thoughts on skis/widths? An 8" ski seems huge to me, like it would make pulling the sled up on harder snow more difficult than it already is.
This M9000 is scary when landing or bringing the front end down hard, massive diving. Stock skis turn hard on trails and are terrible in deep as we all know.
Trying to decide between:
C&A MTX - 8", seems wide to me
SLP PP - Always thought that they made trail handling really bad with the super deep keel.
C&A BX - Expensive and hard to find, haven't heard much about them.
SLP Mohawk - Expensive, hard to find.
Opinions?

Some of them are a bit racey, but I have the white with black loops and I think they look nice and clean and they work great on the 4 stroker.

X2 on slydogs.. and they DO make them in plain jane black too... only issue I have had is that they are slick when grabbing onto or standing on. ie when trying to tip sled over after a little a tip over or an unstucking roll. Not traction molded into them. And don't carl cut this ski. It doesnt fair well.
