I dont know if I should order tipped rails or straight cut?? Its n/a now and I would like boost next year, but not 100% that itll happen then... I just put a 162x15x2.5 under it, and its great! Just thinking of the weight savings.. TIA

Get the Kmod skid. Works way better for boosted applications and is stronger. It is much lighter than stock as well.

Ice age rail and skid combo????

Looks like a good set up worth a look for sure.

I would go with tipped up rails for the stocker and straight for a turbo.

I am in the same boat and tried several skids before buying the ZX2

I would go straight for sure.

It will climb better, you will notice a difference.

I do have a turbo and I had the 174" extensions on my stock rails what a difference when I went to strait rails.

If you like doin wheelies and don't have boost go tipped up but if you want it to climb better and you are gonna be boosted get straight.

Ya I think straight is the way to go.. This is the first sled I have had that has the tip ups. Thanks guys!!

I run straight rails on my nytro with a TS skid. The TS skid is pretty tough, I landed straight on a stump last winter with mine and there was no damage. If you get a TS, it comes with shims for the rear for running boost to keep the front end down. If you like to climb at all the straight rails will perform a lot better.

Ok, I've got a noob question. I'm in the same boat and I hear people talking about TS Skids and Rails, Iceage Skids and Rails, M-10 Skids and Rails. What is the difference? Aren't they the same thing?

Is the skid the actual "suspension package"?

I know where the hyfax attaches to the rails, but when I look up skids, it brings me back to rails.

Just thought I'd throw this in the mix. I'm following this thread close, cause I'm dumping my rear end, first thing.

The skid is the hole shooting match -- rear suspension including sliders and rails. Some suspensions are just that the suspension parts and you use the stock rails or buy After-market ones , others like the M10 , ZX2 or Easy ride come as a hole package.:face-icon-small-hap

Thanks, I was kind of guessing that, but the terms get thrown around quite a bit, and I was getting pretty confused.:beer;:beer;:beer;:face-icon-small-hap

i run a N/A apex with ts skid and iceage rails. i run straight and would never run tipped rails again, tipped rails kill the sleds ability to climb

I think the tipped rails would be better for someone that boondocks alot at a low speed. Most everything else straights are the ticket.

Even then, the small gain in performance you would get in the trees would be over shadowed by the performance loss as soon as you turned up the hill again.

Straight rails are the only way to go!
