Thinking of jumping ship

Hi guys I recently bought a brand new 09 m1000 le, It has 870km I,ve gone through 1 motor, 3 belts and a wiring harness, so needless to say I'm getting a little pissed. I use to be a doo guy and I highly thinking of jumping back. So I'm just woundering how guys are liking there new 09 summit 153 and 163. Are there any major pros or cons.

my 08 x has about 2400 miles and my 09 has over 900 and they runs awesome--no issues at all--both have the 09 clutching and my 09 has a head and pipe:D:D:D

08 xp 1700miles 0 problems, 09 xp none so far 1400 miles and counting. Just waaaaaay to fun to ride. plus you are about 74% less tired at the end of the day compared to the REV chassis. On the REV chassis you were about 75% less tired compared to riding the ZXX frame.

Every time I get on one of the m series I can't get over how they fell and react like riding a 2002 zx x skidoo or edge frame polaris. to much work to ride and have fun doing it. Like sidhilling on the XP you stand in the foot pocket and on the M sleds you are on the back bumper almost.

ttt

I've ridden a few xp's and really like the feel, I'm just cencerned about the overall durability. I'm really hard on my $h!t and I'm hoping for some honest feedback on how these hold up to jumping, ditch banging and hillclimbing. Thanx

well if your hard on your junk then nothing will hold up.;)
but I have seen guys center punch trees with there XP's and all the had to do was pull the front bumper out so the hood would go back on. They seem to be really quite tough. of course I am sure that hitting in just the right spot as with anything you will crunch some stuff.

Watch Slednecks 11 and pay attention to how Chris Brown rides his. That guy rides hard, wrecks hard (more often than not;)) and that XP of his is still kicking azz!

do it ..

I just switched from a m 1000 to a xp 163,no comparison. The xp is perfect in the trees, reminds me of a vw van in the steering, you are right over the front so going through tight trees is easy and lean back for hills and other fun and the machine changes character,it take a day or two and then no turning back.very fun sled.

wait until you hit a twig or a willow branch and smash the bulkhead to hell lolthe M's are way tougher ni went throuhg 2 bulkheads (nuns) in 3 rides and every time they break in the same spots the last one was on a tree about 1.5" diameter so i parked the sled and bought an M8. If there is anyone on here working for skidoo MAKE SOME HALF DECENTLY STRONG PARTS. my zx i could bowl down trees 15 times bigger and never wreck anything just ride the rest of the day and go home and use the truck to pull the bumper back straight haha. just my 2cents worth if your hard on sleds and jump alot definately stick with the M. I also bent a couple of steering posts just landing too and they arent fun to change either.

If you do get an xp, I would contact Winter Brew for a clutch kit. I installed one on thursday and went for a ride friday in the trees and have never loved my sled so much as I do now. I got the hill climb edition because I also enjoy jumping and it came with better shocks and rail stiffeners so that may be something to look at as well.

I also put on a after market head which also gave it some really good bottom and mid range. Take out the sway bar to and place it the garbage!
