Thinking about switching aftermarket skis

I purchased my 2011 M8 snopro with Curve XS skis on it, and the prior owner also gave me the stock skis. He said the Curve Skis were the way to go. I have put about 450 miles on the sled and I am NOT happy with the handeling.

I ride 80% off trail, 20% on trail. Of the 80% off trail, 75% of that is logging roads/fields/boondocking, 25% is technical riding in mountains/trees.

From what I have ridden so far, in the little snow we have here are my conclusions for the XS skis and why im not happy...

1) Aggresive on trail, physically hard to steer and sled pushes a lot through corners. They are NOT darty at all though.

2) Off trail they do not seem to float as well as my 04 1M

3) Off trail they really want to dive into the snow on the outside ski cornering. The outside ski does not want to float.

4) They are >>VERY<< hard to PHYSICALLY steer offtrail, I have a hard time getting the skis to turn at all with one arm.

I was thinking about ditching the Curve skis and going with Powder-Hounds or something similar.

What are your thoughts and recommendations for a ski that will fix this problems listed above?

I use SLP Powder Pros and they work well but, their brand new Mohawk is one I would try if I was in the market.

Other than them being darty, they turn corners well on trails/offtrail?

Yeah not bad, they are definetly more of an off trail ski, they get on edge very easy which was something I was concerned about since they are so fat. I would buy them again if I was to get new skis again. On steep side hills they do try to turn you up hill a bit more then stock I find but its something you figure out how to control pretty quickly.

I am trying to decide between the Powder Hound 8" and the Powder Pro. So many people have both, and it seems like people swear by what they own.

I thought I would go with the Hounds, both seem to have ups and downs.

From what I have read the Powder pros are great, but some people complain about them being darty and not great on trails, and very scary in crusty conditions.

The Hounds I have seen people like them but arnt too great on trail or very aggressive. I dont want something that is impossible to steer, but also dont want something that wont steer. But I would rather a little hard steering on trails that something that tips over in crusty conditions.
