Things ive learned through my first 4 rides...

South of big timber, crazies, Cooke, buck creek, seeley once in a while. Tougher to go when you get enough critters to take care of

Oh man! We hu t in the crazies and I really wanna advance to riding up there! You have any suggestions? We hunt up big timber creek and on the north west entrance (got a cow up there this yeat). Be stoked for some beta!

Ride 5
Said iam doing it this time! Wrong....
Learned to go hard when ya gotta go hard but it's scary kinda....
Learned that being trenches in going up hill sucks to un stuck.
Learned that snowmobiles are really really heavy when your u der one.
Learned that to be a bad ass means crashing alot. Today all off trail and 50/50 tome riding h and time stucking....very tired....maybe hurt a little...broke my primary clutch too so that's afoardable lol!!!
BUT I did do a 2 mi uses (maybe) run up and through trees left right center go raped ape!!

Ride 6
Deep snow is way easier AND harder too
Kinda deep snow is hiding nasty ****e that hurts to hit . Like rocks and logs lol.
There's a reason snowmobiles where knee pads and elbow pads and chest protectors.
Fogged up goggles auck bad
Not wearing goggles sucks bad
I need alot more fitness
Going pretty fast zooming up hill and carving is very awesome.
Carbon fiber helmets are awesome I bet, my neck hurts
Pow surfing is harder than it looks!!

Next lesson - they can hurt you :) even a good ride will take you at least 3 days to recover from physically (once you figure out how to use your weight and the throttle to make the sled do what you want). Bad days can take 3-4 months to recover from. I've had a few bad days, but they make for great stories. Even got to ride home in a helicopter once. Hang in there, you will figure it out and it will be the most rewarding experience of your life (well, maybe 2nd to losing your virginity!). The learning curve in this sport is steep. My advice is to find a spot where you are out of the trees with some good drainages etc. and practice/ride where the penalties are low. BTW - you can read and watch videos till you are blue in the face, it is a feel thing that can't be explained very easily. Hell, I can't fully explain it, you just do it enough and and your body, brain figure it out. My best advice would be to set your sled up so you have significant transfer (throttle floats the front end) and ride. Once you get better, you can limit the transfer so you don't trench as much and wheelie when you climb. Also, narrow up the front - if you have to go aftermarket to do that, its well worth the investment.

Ha! Went through the sled all day yesterday! Set the sag, checked all the fluids , cleaned clutch and just checked everything best I could. Was going to go this morning but iam just to beat up lol. Hurt shoulders and my wrist from my stump encounter lol! So unfortunately iam aware there may be some hospital bills if Iam not real careful. We need snow bad so ill use that as my excuse !!! Thanks fir the encouraging words! Hopefully the next helicopter flights a fun one!!
