Thiefs in Canyon Creek

For who ever is a waste of oxygen that feels the need to steal from other people. I hope I meet you on the hill!!! Guarantee you that the track(2.5 inch camoplast) shocks, big wheel kit, risers, shocks and the chain case you busted up trying to get the track out wont be worth it if I find out who you are!

For anyone who has an idea who did this I would appreciate the help in finding them. Pretty sad when two people loose their life's in something like this and almost another one and them to top it off you have a f----- a------ come along and steal his stuff.

Sorry to hear it conrad, please tell us all the details..maybe someone will reconize something....

Sorry to hear. Did it happen in the parking lot are did you leave your sled on the mountain for a night?

If I understand this correctly.......this is one of the sleds belonging to the avalanche victims who died earlier this year? Sad issues - both the deaths and the theft.

I think I saw you departing saturday, about 6pm. At least, I saw a sled that appeared to be damaged.

Its my brothers sled. It has been at the avalanche site the whole time. We tried to get it out earlier in the year but we couldn't. Then it got buried. A couple of us dug it out to two weeks ago to see if we could get it out but we decided to get a sled to put it on. Last sunday friends said it was still all there just missing the handle bar riser and clamp. I just figured somebody broke there's on the hill and needed one. No big deal. But after that the track and suspension parts and shocks and big wheel kit were stolen. Not cool!

The sled is an 03 escape. Its my good buddy's old sled Tar I am sure most of you know him and know what was on the sled. Here is a list of whats gone.
Both front shocks
Camoplast 2.5inch x 162 3inch pitch
Holz big wheel kit
Both shocks out of the skid
Handle bar risers
Good thing I took the motor out of it earlier. Or that probley would be gone too!

holy crap! I firmly believe thieves should be strung up by their you-know-whats! that is just pathetic!

after all you guys have been through, to have to deal with this is just horrendous!

tape a bucket with two hungry rats in it to their stomachs, and watch them squeeal like *****es while the rats tunnel out!

came accross that sled on march 3rd

it was covered then. just a funny lookin bump. scraped off the snow and at that time i remember the motor was gone. but most everything else was there.
flattened slp pipe
new looking camo track
team clutch just laying there
airbox was in the front of hood area
i think there was a plastic sled tied to the bottom???

are you really just gettin to it now?? wow

there was a small tree someone had cut to mark it i think.

when i left i raised that tree up higher and straight to help mark it.

may have been good to drag it down another 50 yards either left or straight down and hid it in the trees. as it was right out in the open.

wonder if after all that time , peeps kept seein it here week after week and thought they would part it out. don't know.

frickin thieves.

but it helps to reduce your risk.

good luck

I will give $100.00 to any one who knows who took these parts!

This is BS!

Two people died at this site,it's not easy for the family and friends to return there.

Fvcking Piece Of Sh!t

very sad! My heart goes out to the fam's.But im inclined to agree w/blindman, if you leave anything, anywhere for three month's... People have sticky fingers:(
I know a forest ranger that finds all kinds of things lost or left. From wallets to lap top computers, stolen cars, bikes and sleds. Good luck yall:)

Thanks everyone. We will put in four hundred also.
As far as the time goes. Its just like Tar said. If it happend to you guys were you lost your Dad who was your bestfriend would you want to go back there right away? Or like in Tar's case one of your bestfriends that you consider family? Plus the sled has been buried the whole time with a tree marking it. I dug it out to see what was needed to pull it out becuase I new the suspensions was bent. And the drivers were bent. Point is sled was whole week before. I took the motor out earlier just to make it lighter to pull out.

It doesn't matter if something has been sitting there for ten mins or ten months if it not yours! There is a Canadian sled that is sitting up there and has been there since November. Good thing the a$$holes never found it!

Conrad

That really sucks man, sorry for your loss. I hope you find something out about the low lifes that got to that sled.

Conrad,

I hope that you find the bast*&^s that did it. I never met Danny but everybody I talked to said that he was a great guy. Good luck finding them. What is your plan with the sled? Are you going to rebuild it? If so let me know, I might have a few contacts that could help.
