Thermostat

Heavy wet January thaw brought out the heat in the axys and what I hoped was an infallible cooling system. Has anyone ran one with thermostat out? What map adjustments are made at 80-100 degree temps vs the 120-160 degree temps typical with the thermostat in?

Were running two new Axys RMK 155" 2.6's. One is stock and gets hot and needs the scratchers down whenever were run down even a short trail to get to the next hill. The 2nd sled I have a BMP billet head, and it seems to run 120 all the time and I haven't put the scratchers down yet. I bought it for the performance gains, however its a bonus that it is running more consistent temps.

I am sorry but I believe lower coolant temps with an aftermarket head is a bad thing. Lower coolant temp from a different head of equal compression means the water flow design is not transferring as much heat from the engine.
