The Rexburg Bench

Got out for my first real ride this afternoon.
Was able to spend a few hours up on the Rexburg Bench.

Snow was very good.

There is a good 1-2ft of fresh snow that rest on a slab layer.
Break through that slab and there is another 2-3ft of uncompacted powder below it.

I managed to get solidly stuck 3 times in the course of 1,000 ft by breaking through that slab and dropping into the bottomless abyss!

But the snow is GOOD and the riding was GREAT.

Winter has finally arrived!!

The first marker on the short leg was where we unloaded yesterday.
Just zoom in on that and you can see where the plowed road ends and the trails begin.
