The Revelstoke Diaries............... Yes there are pics!

As like any trip, it starts off with Graveler testing out his back....

Revelstoke001.jpg

I even gave him a line to follow but that didn't seem to matter....

Revelstoke003.jpg

That was Boulder the first day.... Pretty hammered except where we play. Why does everyone ride the same hills and open areas that have been destroyed...?? The fun is in the trees.....So thank you for staying out of them.

Day 2 starts out like any trip when you make plans to meet MOB at the snopark... First to get to the snopark on time then wait an hour for him to show up and tell you he wants to go somewhere else. So at the "crack" of 11:30am on Thursday we make it to Blue Lake but before we head out of the parking lot I'm distracted by this mess off the back of MOB's truck... WTF??

Revelstoke004.jpg

Then after listening to MOB tell us that he'll catch up since he is doing more testing to "Abortion 3" we head out only to be stopped a few miles up the road by the two Jeremys'. Squeaked piston on the M1000 and it needed to be towed back... So at the "crack" of 12:30, Graveler and I finally get to ride... First stop was the cabin at the top where I met a new friend...He liked my food...

Revelstoke005.jpg

MOB caught up and then showed us what he always does....

Revelstoke006.jpg

Mike needed to stay back to continue the tuning....

Then we headed out to find the fresh snow so we headed over the edge and the first thing we saw was the carnage from and earlier accident... Ski Doos and trees don't mix...

Revelstoke007.jpg

Revelstoke009.jpg

Here is what we went down to find the sled... We needed ski brakes.

Revelstoke008.jpg

Now we start to find the fresh snow...

Revelstoke010.jpg

....and more stucks...

Revelstoke015.jpg

Day three stats off with a ride to Turtle...

Revelstoke017.jpg

and more stucks for Graveler... I'm stating to detect a theme for what is to come here.....

Revelstoke016.jpg

Kind of tracked out....

Revelstoke019.jpg

Hey... what is this sled?? It doesn't look like anything I've seen before...

Revelstoke024.jpg

I could get used to this....

Revelstoke025.jpg

This feels funny...

Revelstoke027.jpg

And then we find some fresh...

Revelstoke028.jpg

Revelstoke031.jpg

A look down on where we were...

Revelstoke032.jpg

and a closer look....

Revelstoke034.jpg

Don't think we are done with the stuck pictures yet... Where did my sled go?? Graveler needs to get his eyes checked soon...

Revelstoke036.jpg

Revelstoke037.jpg

Revelstoke041.jpg

Next stop... chest into the handle bars.... Knocked the wind out of Graveler... Good thing he wears a chest protector.

Revelstoke042.jpg

Then on Day 4 (Sunday the 15th) we head back into secret area... I'll name that #4.

First you need to cross over the river... a few times...

We love ravines...

Revelstoke054.jpg

Right up to the point that I ran into some fresh cougar prints...

Revelstoke055.jpg

Who is this guy stuck??

Revelstoke057.jpg

Revelstoke050.jpg

I think I can water cross this sled....

Revelstoke051.jpg

"Let's not push our luck here and head up..."

Revelstoke052.jpg

Who is this guy stuck? One clue... 40 years of riding...

Revelstoke057.jpg

The moose stayed here overnight....

Revelstoke058.jpg

Looks like someone got stuck again...

Revelstoke062.jpg

and now more people getting stuck... It's an epidemic!

Revelstoke066.jpg

I can't handle it anymore so I head up and take this shot after climbing through the thickest of trees... Where are we??

Revelstoke068.jpg

Revelstoke069.jpg

Since we've got to be back at work on Monday we need to cut the day short and head home... That's when the fun starts...

Looks like the belt got a little wet...

Revelstoke072.jpg

Time to clean off the tree sap..

Revelstoke073.jpg

Revelstoke074.jpg

Revelstoke075.jpg

So I have a question.... If your belt is wet, what do you do? A) dry it off and then head up the hill? B) asked for some help pulling it up? Or C) drive off into the deeper section of the river and hope that the belt will somehow dry up??

The answer???????

C

Revelstoke081.jpg

Revelstoke082.jpg

Revelstoke083.jpg

"Why do Americans think they can walk on water????"

Revelstoke084.jpg

Revelstoke085.jpg

Cats don't like water but they do dry off

Revelstoke086.jpg

She's Alive!!!

Revelstoke088.jpg

We finish off the ride back with some ice pictures

Revelstoke089.jpg

and a moose...

Revelstoke090.jpg

Wait... I almost forgot.....
