Mine doesn't get delivered until around Halloween but Oregonsledder's thread inspired this.

Apologies to my Marine bretheren

This is my Pro Ride.
There are many like it, but this one is mine.
It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
Without me my Pro Ride is useless. Without my Pro Ride, I am useless.
I must ride my Pro Ride true.
I must shoot straighter lines than the enemy who is trying to out ride me.
I must top out before he does. I will.
My Pro Ride and I know that what counts in the mountains is not the horse power we make, the noise of our pipe, or the two stroke smoke we make. We know that it is the climbs that count. We will climb.

My Pro Ride is human, even as I am human, because it is my life.
Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strengths, its parts, its accessories, its handling and its backshifting.
I will keep my Pro Ride clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready.
We will become part of each other.

Before God I swear this creed.
My Pro Ride and I are the defenders of my backcountry.
We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of my life.

So be it, until victory is Winter's and there is no summer.

Really guys... I had nothing to do with it! :face-icon-small-con

Good stuff though.....

I thought it was funny...in a good sort of way :)

The negative comments must be from "cat guys"...tho by reading their "not-so- pro-climb" thread, you would think they feel the same about their new "kitty" :)

Cheers!

Not a cat guy here, just thought it was kind of out there a ways. Gotta love the imigination, though.
Once a Marine , always a Marine.
PS Thanks to all who have served in the military and the PRO's.

I wouldn't worry about this goof. He's one of the most brand loyal wackos I've ever seen on these forums. Bleeds and pi$$es green. He seems to have no tolerance for any sled that's not an AC.

I like my Cat's but would never post a creed about one. Sounded like he was lonely and drank a bit much and posted a love poem for a sled. I wasn't dog'n the Pro, I just didn't find the creed funny or cool in any way. I found this creed very weird and frankly kind of creepy and kind of felt a little embarrassed for the guy.:face-icon-small-ton

Talk about brand loyalty?? This creed makes it sound like a way of life or something he is willing to die for!

Dude,
Relax. It was all very tongue in cheek.
I'm getting a new sled for the first time since '04 and yes, I'm stoked.
It's that time of year--delivery season and people are showing off their new sleds while pace SW waiting for mine. I was not drunk, just anxious.

Oregonsledder's opening comment about his Pro being like all the other black ones triggered the thought.

So I borrowed the "Rifle Prayer" from the USMC i.e. "This is my rifle. There are many like it but this one is mine." etc., etc., which you, apparently never heard of. I put Pro Ride in it because I'm getting one but it easily could have been the XP Creed or the Pro Climb Creed or even the One-Lunger Creed if old Tundra's and Bravo's tickled my chode.

Now, if any Marines were or are offended then I will ask a mod to remove the thread, otherwise let's chill and pray for record snowfalls.

Cheers,
TFW

Um all the busses are the same color, even the long ones. I guess you could say they bleed yellow. Oh yea don't let the name fool ya I have 2 new pro's comming.

Hang on there.... after one season on a PRO you will see the humor in this!

It's all good.............
